The Congress Center Hamburg is a complicated and complex building, and finding your way to the translation booths can be a bit intimidating. This page provides some hints.

At 37C3 we are interpreting in three halls: 1, Granville, and Zuse. Use the information below to find your way to the booths.

The entrance to the booths is off “Seitenrang rechts”. Go to the main foyer of Hall 1, head towards the atrium and turn left at the bank of elevators, then head up one flight of stairs to Hochparkett foyer.

Alternatively, you can take the elevators from ground level (atrium) halls 1, X, Y, or Z to level 3 to get there; turn right out of the elevators and go through the glass doors towards the sign “Seitenrang rechts”.

Go through the white door under the sign, then follow the hallway; the booths will be on the left-hand side.

This is the easiest: when you are standing in the lobby outside of hall Granville, the booths are on the little platform, just between the door into the hall. Simply take the three steps up and go to the booth.

These are the most complicated booths to get to. You can get there either from the foyer of Hall Z, or through the backstage hallway.

You can enter the hall from the audience entrance from the Foyer Z.

Once you are in the hall, head up the stands to the back of the hall

Now head up to the booths, see below.

Find the backstage elevator between Hall 1 and Hall Z; it can be reached from the backstage hallways of X, Y, and Z, as well as from the Saal 1 interpreters booths and the Rang Foyer hallway. Take the elevator to level 4 “Z Technik / c3lingo”.

Coming out of the elevator, turn right and head to the door; follow the catwalk through two more doors to Regie Z.

Once you're at Regie Z, go through the door (on the right, looking at the stage), head up the stairs, and make a 180 to go to the booths.

If you need to change quickly between 1 and Z, use the elevator: from the booths in Hall 1, take the elevator up to level 4 (Z Regie/c3lingo); from Z, take the elevator down to 3 “Saal 1 c3lingo”.

Simply walk from the foyer of G to the foyer of 1 and head up the stairs (see Hall 1 above); the same works in reverse.
